Chickity China the Chinese chicken...

You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'

What a fun day! Dave and I were able to meet Charles for Chinese food before he heads back to China next week. Shall we make this an annual tradition? We were quite impressed with his chopstick skills. Who knew you could use them to eat pudding?

I was kinda bummed that we had to leave our fun lunch for work and class, but then Julie called and said she and Jeremy were making a “drop-off” with Noah so I would get to see him before our class together started.

What a cutie! He looks a little cross, but he's only squinting at the sun. He was in fact in a great mood. Doesn't he look cute in the Disney World bib that "Aunt Patti" got him?

So long, Farewell

Since our flight wasn’t until 4:40, we were able to sleep late, swim, and head over to Downtown Disney for a little shopping before catching the Magical Express back to the airport.

Doesn't Dave look hot? I think we need a chopper! ;p Probably as close as I'll ever get to driving a hog. Side-saddle no less because believe it or not I actually had on a skirt. LOL
We enjoyed a delicious espresso chip ghiradelli sundae with homemade hot fudge!

Today, we were able to get to EPCOT before the gates opened and enjoyed Test Track twice, Mission Space, Soarin’, Nemo and Friends, and Living with the Land all before lunchtime! Then it was time to head over to Canada’s Le Cellier where we had lunch reservations. We both enjoyed sirloin sandwiches and I had opted to save half of mine in a to-go box so I could enjoy the cheese soup (incredible!) and the crème brulee sampler. In our true fashion, we headed back to the resort for swimming and a nice long nap.

Here's Dave preparing for his future midlife crisis by checking out a little convertible at Test Track. As long as he doesn't get a little blonde to go with that convertible I guess we are ok. LOLOnce again, my photo rip-off of the ride snapshot. There we are in the back seat!

After our nap we headed back to EPCOT for the Eagles tribute (which sucked except for Hotel California which they did a pretty good job with) and Illuminations.

Animal Kingdom

This morning, we slept late, went swimming and had lunch before heading over to Animal Kingdom. We knew we’d pay dearly for this in attraction time, but we just couldn’t stay away from the pool! Still we managed to ride Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, see “It’s Tough to be a Bug” and walk both animal viewing trails before getting caught in a massive thunderstorm!

This is how wet we got while wearing ponchos! If I didn’t know better I’d think that a hurricane was coming in. My wet photo is inappropriate to display here to say the least!

Monkeys are Dave's favorites!

We cut our losses for theme parking since the rain continued into the night and just chilled out back at the room. We were in bed early so we could tackle EPCOT the next day!

MGM and Magic Kingdom

We kicked theme park butt today especially considering the crowds by getting to the MGM gates before opening. First stop was a Fast Pass for Tower of Terror then we waited in line for 10 minutes for Rock and Roller coaster. Off to Star Tours and Muppets 3D and The Great Movie Ride. After all that we had a birthday lunch for Dave at the Sci-Fi Drive in Café complete with a free birthday sundae! Sounds Dangerous was a great way to get into the A/C for a while then we rode Tower of Terror and Rock and Roller Coaster again. The only thing we did all day that Dave wasn’t thrilled about was waiting in line for pictures with the rats from Ratatouille.

I'm way too cheap to pay $13 for a ride photo, so I just started taking a picture of them on the preview screen with my own camera. Some of them didn't turn out too bad! This is Rock and Roller Coaster, Dave's favorite ride.
Remy and Emile were so cute!
Outside Muppets 3-D
Tower of Terror. We are the pink and white blobs on the front, right. LOL

After all that fun, we were worn out so after a swim and a 5-hour nap (that’s right!) we headed to the Magic Kingdom since it was staying open until 2:00 AM. We got to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (which is a real treat at night), Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, The Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Mickey’s Philharmagic, the shooting arcade (for free) and see Spectromagic. We got back to our room at 1:30 AM and knew right then that we wouldn’t be able to get up early for Animal Kingdom Extra Magic hours!

Saratoga Springs Resort

We had a bear of a time with SouthWest Airlines, but once the hassle was over we were so excited to be settled into our room at Saratoga Springs Resort The whole theme of the resort is horses and horse racing and our room was appropriately in the Grandstand area which was close to the Carriage House amenities.

Check out the little themed pool and fountain in our area! We liked it just as well as the main pool with the waterslide.

Of course I loved the Donald fountain at the main pool and had to kick several little kiddos off of it so I could play. :)

Another couple stopped and offered to take this picture for us so we could both be in it.

Dave's Birthday

My poor honey didn't get much a birthday, but that's the way he likes it! Plus I can't feel too sorry for him since we are going to Disney World tomorrow!Monster Nathan's hot dogs! Dave's fave.

With an ice cream cake from Marble Slab Creamery I'm sure he'll be getting his wish.

Bella's Birthday

Bella's 6th birthday was spent at Build a Bear Workshop where she chose a dog to stuff, name, and dress. Here she is making a birthcertificate for "Clarissa."
Clarissa is going to be a well-outfitted dog!

Weekend in Pensacola

As always it was such a blessing to be able to spend time with Dave's family. Mom had a goody basket waiting for us in the guest room this time! Their new house is lovely and they have done a good job decorating and making it theirs.
This little stinker refused to have anything to do with me, but he did warm up to Uncle Dave.

Arthur made a stinky in the bathroom so Caleb came up with a homemade gas mask of sorts. LOL!

Getting good and wound up before bedtime!

Joshua's favorite pastime...jumping off the couch repeatedly

Amelia and I went out for pedicures! We felt like princesses in our big massaging "thrones."

Amelia chose a pretty pale pink shade
I told her she could pick out my nail color for me...And she went with a pretty spring green :)
After all was said and done, they painted flower designs on each of Amelia's big toes. Too cute!

Then it was time for the hour and a half long hair wrapping process which required patience on both our parts! Watching a movie kept us from getting too bored.
Amelia loves her Mom-mom!

We had a great time at church even though we were sad to miss Dr. Ruckman's preaching. Bro. Donovan did a great job and it was good to see so many familiar faces. All too soon it was time to say goodbye and head back to Huntsville.

I was jealous of Amelia's pretty church clothes. Do you think they make her outfit in a ladies 6?
Before getting on the road again, Stephanie and Phil took us out for Chinese food. We had a lot of catching up to do so we didn't start the trip home until later than planned but it was well worth it.

We miss you guys! Come see us soon! Oh, and when are you going to have a baby? Hahahaha.
