Friday Night Fever

Friday was a yucky day outside, but perfect for coffee and treats at Rembrandt's! The white mocha was heavenly.

Chef Lexi prepared a delicious meal of broccoli/egg noodle pasta and the three of us played a game of Sorry over dinner. I got my butt kicked of course! Thanks for being merciful, Lexi and not being out for blood like your husband!
Here's Sadie Baby! Getting her to look at the camera and be still was NOT going to happen. Isn't she cute?

Just another Sunday

The young people sang for us which was great! They get better and better every time they get up there! Keep it up guys.
This is how we found the cats when we got home. Since we shaved Chewie, she is freezing and has become quite the cuddler. Mom and Dad aren't home? Ok, sister will do. Krissy was making her exit as I snapped the picture. She assumed since Dave was standing there that he was getting ready to kick her out of the room. Wonder why she would think that! *rolling my eyes*

Happy Birthday Andrea

Presents galore!
Mom, you look so wasted!
Andrea loved her cake which made it worth being destroyed *sniffle*
How much you wanna bet she wished for a horse??

Mom bought my babies a box of catnip Valentine chocolates. They are crazy for them but have lost all but one in frenzied play.

Valentine's Dinner

The food at The Shak was great and we all had fun playing games, eating, and fellowshipping.

Andrew looks so in love! And Cindy is tolerating it. Good job Cindy! :)

Bella was stuck with all the adults for the evening, but we didn't hear a peep out of her. I had to coax her into posing for a picture. She was stylin! Do those jeans come in a size 6?
A really dark picture of Mom and DadThe Cedillo Clan. Most of them anyway.
The rocket scientist won the prize for guessing the number of candy hearts in the jar. Why are we not surprised?

Rusty and Ingrid

Mac and Sandi
Linda and her victorious hubby!

The artist gets fussy about her creations...

This is the first cake that actually upset me to give away. I totally wanted to go Mrs Havisham on it and let it rot for eternity on my dining room table. Haha.

Brooke's House

You would think pictures taken at an old friend's house would look a little different than this, but for us young marrieds...it's all about the furbabies!

This was my first meeting with Rascal and I must say how impressed I was. Such a sweetheart! Doesn't he look cute in his Woolrich coat?
He beat both of us at Dance, Dance, Revolution. Here he is busting a move.
Had a great time, Rascal...er..um Brooke. :)

It Snowed!

In Alabama this TOTALLY counts. :)

Dennis Rodman's Albino Twin

This is what happens late in the afternoon on a Friday. Production stalls and out come the cameras.

Look at that nappy yellow head! Glad I don't have a radio syndicate to fire me. :)

Notice the lack of mouth and nose protection. This is why I don't bother with health food. I'm going to be a widow in a few years anyway! Might as well enjoy your meat and cheese, Babe!

Lovebird Weekend

Dave and I decided to take a romantic weekend for ourselves. I would call it a "getaway" but since we had no money to getaway with, we just pretended we were out of town by unplugging the phone, turning off our cell phones, and making it a point not to see anyone we know. Casey enjoyed our 3 1/2 mile hike on Monte Sano Mountain.
The entire weekend was spent eating out, hiking, shopping, and generally avoiding all responsibility. It was so refreshing, we're going to do this once every two months!

The Night that the Lights went out in Alabama

Huntsville is nothing if it isn't tornado alley, but it still gets me unnerved when the storms come through at night! Here we all are huddled around the TV at 4:00 am. This was just after Mom and I spend a stint in the master bathroom shower stall! I was pretty scared, but have the good sense to take some pictures for the blog. Nothing is sacred.

Channel 48 is my fav for this sort of thing. Dan Satterfield may know his stuff, but he's a PA. If you don't know what a PA is, e-mail me. :p
Can't say that I've seen this time of day in a loooong time.

Girly Fun

Mom and I had a great time during her week-long visit. We had the time to do lots of fun stuff that never seems to happen when they are only here for a weekend.

Paint your own pottery! Well, you can do that, but it takes two weeks to get your piece back so we made mosaics instead. Mom did a turtle and I did a lizard.Off to the movies to check out the VIP section of the new theatre in town. Watching a movie from a private balcony with huge leather rocking seats will spoil you for going to the Cinema 8 or whatever. ;)
Me and my thunder thighs getting cozy
Ahhhh....just like at home!

Tony's Little Italy (pictured) is just one of the places we ate over the week. We also had to take advantage of P.F. Chang's while the guys weren't with us.
