Call me. We'll do lunch.

It was nice to have a little girl time with Angel and Irene. Baby Hannah is so loving and good-natured. If only we could say that for her mom and aunt. Tehe.

Birthday Dinner

Brandon requested a special dinner for his birthday. We don't really have a name for this dinner game, but you can read about the concept here as we played it for Christmas 2007. The twist this time is that Brandon wanted to serve everyone else and eat in the kitchen in peace after watching us all suffer. Birthday boy gets what birthday boy wants!

He made up the menu himself and some of the items wound up being clues of sorts. For example, the "3-pointer" wound up being a fork. Others were completely random which probably added to Brandon's fun as we all sat around trying to plot a strategy that would deliver a utensil along with our mashed potatoes.

Dave scooping up red velvet cake with another food item (can't tell what).

Dave eating baked beans with a piece of cheese (gotta be quick before it melts!)
Katy scooping up mashed potatoes with a cucumber
Aran eating a salad by hand
Can we drag them away from a gory action movie long enough for presents?

Happy Birthday, Brandon!

Katy made a carrot cake for Brandon's 14th birthday. Wednesdays are quite hectic so we waited until Friday night for a full party. Though it was hard to top a roving balloon alien entertainer!

Forget a cute name tag and a tie. This was our greeter Wednesday night. Bella had fun making everyone laugh, and as you can guess the whole setup was Aran's idea. ;)

Cheese, glorious cheese.

Unless you live with Dave, you cannot truly fathom his cheese obsession. These pictures should give you an inkling, however.

No sausage, no crackers; just cheese and lots of it. Mind you he's already finished off several pounds that he received as Christmas gifts and at the time I'm blogging this (Feb. 1oth) he has this Christmas log fished 3/4s of the way. Perhaps next year everyone can buy him some Metamucil to go with his cheddar. ;)

Ladies Fellowship

Yong-yi hosted a ladies fellowship at her home. We played a couple little games and enjoyed the fellowship, but the food had to be the best part. She served Korean fare complete with kimchee and bulgogi. Thanks for having us over, Yong.

Music City

Dave and I spent the day in Nashville mostly at Opry Mills Mall.

We ate at Aquarium which reminded me a lot of the Coral Reef restaurant at Disney World. Aquarium was nicer, cheaper, and the food was better! Guess they have to try harder since they aren't Disney.

Classic burger for Dave (no fried shrimp????)
Fish Tacos for me!

And it's impossible to visit Nashville without stopping at DD on the way back!
