Happy Fall, Ya'll

We had our annual cookout today and finally have a sign for the front of the building! It's only taken us 25 years!
My father-in-law will be a happy camper.

Minnie completely stole the show.

Jacob taught her to fetch a little bit.

It was nice to have some visitors with us including the Aloisios, Engesaths, and Pilkingtons.

Some stringing and singing.

As big a fire as we could get away with probably. :)

Judgment Seat

Dave and I took Brandon, Aran, and Jake to the Judgment Seat Drama at Shiloh Baptist.

Waiting on the hay bales

Micaiah and Mandy met us there then Irene showed up with Sarah and Leah! It was fun to go all together as a group and we rejoiced to hear that several souls were saved that night.

Waiting in the gym
I could also show "waiting at the other end of the gym" and "waiting in the video room" but you get the point. Busy night at a popular event.

JRC October Horse Show

Bella and I had a blast at our first horse show. Of course getting all cowgirled up was half the fun. Here we are with our instructor, Andrea.
Bella doing a little pre-show horse whispering.
Will and Bill the draft horses seemed like they wanted in on the fun.Bella warming Lilly up.
Me and Abe
Andrea and her horse Milo. They won two blue ribbons today!
Bella showed Abe for Showmanship.

And I showed Reed.

In the lineup

Reed and me with our 5th place Showmanship ribbon.
Bella starting her Horsemanship pattern.

Abe and me mid-pattern
Starting off the Trail pattern

Abe and I won 4th in trail!

Egg and spoon just for fun! Andrea won both rounds, but the jury is still out about whether or not there was chewing gum involved. :)
Special thanks to Dad for putting us both in lessons, to Andrea for being patient with neurotic day-of-show questions and wardrobe issues, to Aran for letting me borrow his hat, and to Dave for missing the AL/TN game for this!

Fun Little Friday

Bella and I had a riding lesson today and used the opportunity to show off our new shirts that Dad and Mom brought us back from Savannah.Brandon's original harvest art. Great job! Katy, thank for the delicious dinner. We had a nice time.

Bowling Ohio Style

Phil's ball. It scares the pins down. No need to throw accurately.

My token foot pic

Dave was sober, I promise.

Back to Jersey

We brought Midnight a catnip-stuffed lobster toy which he loved! See the end of the post (go to the blog if you are on Facebook) for video of him at play. Too cute.

Stacey let us have a lobster boil in her kitchen. She and I were a little concerned about the whole process so Dave handled the cruel part.

Midnight having a sniff.

This is a Midnight-heavy post, but he's such a cutie that I couldn't help taking lots of pictures of him.
We had dinner at Uncle Bill and Aunt Dawn's house and they pulled out the slide projector so we could see photos of the good old days.

Kristen decided her Aunt Stacey needed a homemade tiara to go with Tonya's cup.Stacey with her horse Dakota

Debbie and Glen brought Apollo over to meet us, but since he hadn't seen Cheyenne that day...they had some catching up to do. Go to the blog to see the video if you are on Facebook.
