Happy Memorial Day

The Bussey's invited the entire church to their home for a Memorial Day potluck/music fest. We had so much fun and stayed well into the night. Thanks for letting us take over your house!

Dave made a new friend. Cadence had to show him all her toys and describe them in complete sentences. These would have turned out so much better if I could have figured out my flash setting. Argh.

Irene blew up this kiddie pool all by herself without passing out. I was impressed.
Andrea, Jake, and Brandon chilling out
Katy and me
Cindy and Mandy
Andrew and Dave
Luke and Lois enjoying the fruits of Irene's labor
We hardly saw Bella all day! She alternated pool time with water balloon duty for the little kids.
Isaac and Micaiah jamming
Football time! Dave kept up with the teens though he's paying for it a little today. :)

You can actually play this offline??

Volleyball fun! We played 7 games and would have continued if it wasn't dark.

Golf Cartin'
Micaiah with his kiddie drink. Had to tease him.

Nursery Work

Dad had some letters cut for us at work and Dave was busy today painting and distressing them for our rustic cowgirl nursery. Trudy's room is about 90% ready! Just putting up the finishing touches and I'll have some pictures posted.

Depot Car Show

On the way home from Nate's party we stopped at the Huntsville Depot where they were having a car show. We didn't stay long since Dave wasn't feeling well (you know it's bad when he cuts car show time short!), but I still had fun taking pictures of all the historic depot stuff and a few cars.

A 1918 model. Neat!
Don't know what this is, but I was supposed to take a picture for Art. Guess it's kind of like the one he's restoring.

Happy 1st Birthday, Nate!

We helped Nate celebrate his first year of life with a BBQ birthday at the park. Jeremy grills a mean burger!
Cute teddy bear ice
Julie and Mike playing ladderball.

Grandpa and Grandma capturing the fun
The traditional mini-cake for the birthday boy to destroy.
Noah helping out a little by liberating some sprinkles

Nate was pretty mannerly at first and had to be encouraged to make a mess.
That's more like it! All was well until he rubbed frosting into his eye. Ouch!Time for presents!

Catching a glimpse of the ride-on car from Mom and Dad

We had a great time, Julie and Jeremy. Thanks for inviting us!

First Harvest

We got the firstfruits out of the garden and I was so excited that I posed with the two radishes before cutting them up for our salads. They were delicious!
