Aunt Trudy and Uncle Bob

Trudy got a teddy bear in the mail today from her namesake. I've never met Dave's great aunt Trudy, but early in our marriage when heard her name I knew that's what I wanted for my daughter if I was ever blessed with one.

Great-great Aunt Trudy and Great-great Uncle Bob

I'm thinking we should name the bear Bob since Trudy will love it. ;)

Putting gladiator sandals on a baby...

is comparable to nailing Jello to a tree, but infinitely more rewarding. Can I get an "awww"?

Mommy and Me

There's pictures of Trudy with everyone but me so I had Dave snap one at church tonight just because. What a happy camper!

Girl's Day Out

Mom came over today and took Trudy and me out for sushi and shopping.

She's less than thrilled about dressing up, but we had to seize the opportunity to wear a non Daddy approved outfit. He's against hair accessories and pretty much anything that's not a onesie or a sleeper. :)

Trudy loves her Wubbanub, "Moe." Life has gotten much easier since we brought him into the family!

Depot Days

Mom and Dad were kind enough to keep Trudy for a day and a night so we could celebrate our 8th anniversary. We had a nice time eating out, shopping, and sleeping...LOTS of sleeping. We also went to the Depot Days festival to look at the cars, tractors, and crafts.

I had more fun people watching than anything else. :)

Trudy has been gracing us with social smiles for over a week and I finally caught one on camera. I'm sure she'll be perfecting this trick when she learns how far it will get her with her daddy!

♪Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married ♪

It's the big day at last! The bride in her comfy shoes getting ready to head to the park for pictures before the ceremony.
On the way

Bridesmaids bouquets
Soon to be Mr. and Mrs.!
Missy looking elegant as always
Girls luuurve their shoes. Well, the way they look anyway. Just not the way they feel after standing in them for hours.
The best man was a little confused as to whose baby Trudy was since Lexi had her just as much or more than I did. Thanks, girl!
It was a beautiful day for pictures with temps in the low 70s and the sun shining.
So in love

It's almost go time!
Beautiful mother of the bride

The bride and her maids (or matrons in this case)
Obviously I couldn't take any pictures during the ceremony, but it was beautiful, touching, God-honoring and went off without a hitch. I even teared up as Lydia came down the aisle. My favorite part had to be the recessional which was the Indiana Jones theme. :) So fun and fitting for Phil and Lydia.

Trudy slept for the entire thing
Micah was nice enough to hold and feed her during bridal party pictures.
The best man's mom (can't remember either of their names!) held Trudy for a while during the reception so I could eat. It was chilly in the room and I didn't have a blanket handy so she wrapped her in napkins. At least they matched her dress!

Wedding Prep

We spent mucho time on Thursday folding napkins into a cute little clovers and getting the reception area ready to go.
Hope my napkin wasn't the one on Candy's head!
Me and the beautiful bride to be
Lexi, Lydia, Amy, and Candy
Rehearsal time! Definitely one of the smoothest rehearsals I've ever witnessed.

Rehearsal dinner
Trudy conked out with Lexi
Missy and James
After dinner we headed to The Elephant Bar restaurant for dessert and fruity drinks.
Candy brought some sparklies for our faces because she's just fun like that.
"v" is for virgin as in non-alcoholic drinks. :)

Trudy got a sparkly too!
And after folding so many napkins I couldn't resist going origami on Lydia's blanket once we got back to the hotel
