Happy Memorial Day!

We've had a busy and productive long weekend. Trudy enjoyed watermelon for the first time yesterday at our church's Memorial Day cookout.

Congratulations, Andrea!

Andee is now a high school graduate. How time flies! We were able to attend her commencement ceremony this weekend.

Congratulations, Andrea! We sure are going to miss you, but are also excited for you as you start the next chapter in life.

Welcome Madeline Rose!

Julie is a mom for the third time and both Trudy and I got to visit with the new family today. She is so sweet and tiny at 6lbs, 5oz. You forget how little they are when they are brand new.

Julie looks great and it up and about like she didn't just have a baby!

Trudy didn't quite know what to think about another baby on the scene, and was totally jealous of Madeline's hair.
Noah and Nate introduced her to goldfish crackers and that was a big hit.

This was Trudy's first time to meet Jeremy and he was a big hit too. That might have had something to do with the chocolate chip cookie he gave her.
Maddie is going to have a couple of protective big brothers!

Congratulations, Jeremy and Julie! She is gorgeous.

Sunday Funday

Since Mom and Dad were in Italy this week, other people actually got some T time. ;) She made the rounds and was kind enough to sleep through Sunday school and the afternoon service. Thanks for keeping her in the morning, Andrea!

I love the look on Katy's face! Brandon had her covered.
The crazy man played peek-a-poo with her using the door, but she wasn't too sure about it.
Kinsey was visiting her Gigi so I took a pictures of Trudy and Kinsey together on the pew where Brooke and I both sat growing up.
Kinsey sat nicely for the photo op while Trudy tried to either nosedive off the pew or grab Kinsey's clothes. She was a good sport about playing with "Baby Trudy."

Weekend with the Pilkingtons

Jared and Jess came up to spend the weekend with us. After cramming a five hour road trip into ten hours (I-65 is getting ridiculous but I'm not going to rant about it here) they were pretty beat, but we still had loads of fun. Lots of eating out, golfing, pedicures, shopping...when are ya'll coming back??

Of course we had to visit JW's!

Trudy took to Jess almost right away and really warmed up to her over the weekend since they spent quite a bit of time together. She needed a little more coaxing when it came to Jared.

By the time they were ready to go home, she was comfortable enough to use him as a human obstacle course. Nobody is safe! Don't even think you're going to play nicely with our child. Prepare to be climbed, scaled, or pounced on.

Of course I had to torture everyone with Quelf. Jess loved it (as I knew she would) and Jared enjoyed playing but it made him a little nervous. Dave just suffered through as usual and hope he was earning brownie points in the process.
Draw a picture of something found in a medicine cabinet and tape it to your head. Leave it there for the remainder of the game
Hold a spatula in your left hand. Do not put it down for any reason or pay the penalty.
We had so much fun, ya'll! Come back soon!

Daddy and me

Trudy is pretty crazy about her dad. I think the feeling is mutual.

The scrunch-nose face. We're not sure what it means exactly, only that she's happy about something!

♪ Ladies in Red ♪

Linda crocheted Trudy the cutest little white dress with ladybug buttons. My mom bought her some rockin' red shoes and ladybug bow to complete the outfit and I tried to dress to match (sans ladybugs!)

9ish Months

We had to take the rocking chair picture a few days late since we were out of town on the 4th. Trudy will hardly sit still for a picture! The ones I got were horrible and I was prepared to just make do with them. One last shot about 10 days after she turned 9 months and she actually sat still! She isn't in her usual onesie, but I'll take it!

Goodbye Beach

Our time at Orange Beach came to an end all too quickly, but we sure did have fun. On our last morning before heading home we took a few pictures just for fun. A passerby offered to snap one of all three of us together.

Climbing up her daddy like a koala bear to get away from the waves.
