Tiramisu Trudy

Mom, Trudy, and I tried out the new Olive Garden in town. Service was slow, but a little dessert helped us be patient.

Tea Party

Happy Father's Day! Last week I got some cute pictures of Trudy and Dave together so logically on Father's Day I should have gotten some cute pics of me and my dad together. Problem is, I'm not feeling especially cute these days...or energetic. Trudy and Dad were having a tea party on the church lawn which was plenty cute so here ya go.
 Cheesy bite!

Trudy loved putting the play forks and knives in her sandals.

Daddy's Girl

The day happened to be overcast, Trudy and Dave happened to have on complementary colors, and it happened to be a week before Father's Day. Grab the camera! Time for photos for a cute gift for Daddy.

We went to the mall for a little shopping and carousel riding. All in all a fun Saturday night!

The Force is Strong with This One

It's been a while since I've posted a crochet project. Good reason for that. Who knew toddlers don't just entertains themselves for hours on end while mama spends some time with her yarn? My mother-in-law crocheted this Yoda for Dave . Isn't he adorable? His cloak comes on and off too. I love his little toes and had to take close-ups of them. :) Now if I can just get her to crochet him a light saber.
Even though he belongs to Dave, I kind of took him over. I'm not even a  Star Wars fan, but this little guy sits on our bed and Trudy isn't allowed to play with him. Every few nights I'll leave Hubs a message from Yoda tied in his cloak.
I used this Yoda Speak Generator to word things the way the little Jedi would and the font is Star Jedi from dafont.com.  As you can see from the second message, they aren't always complete altruistic on my part. And yes, sometimes Yoda will leave him a sexy message from me so hopefully that makes up for the foot massage message that somehow keeps showing up...repeatedly. It's silly, but 10 years and two kids (almost) later you learn to incorporate the small things in your day together. So thanks, Mom for making him for us!

Finger paints

Trudy was bored one morning. A bored Trudy usually results in "creativity" such as shoving Plah-Doh into our central air intake. So I thought why not break out the fingerpaints?
Ok, I didn't really expect anything out  finger painting with a toddler except to have some fun. Mission accomplished!
Oh that's why the box says ages 3 and up.
Finger paint, toe paint: potato potahto.
47 rolls of paper towels later...
Eenie meenie miny mo, I'm going to wreck this room fo sho!
Yeah, I don't know what Mom was thinking either.
All clean! (mostly)
