Brooke's Shower

Step 1: Attend one's baby shower and get all kinds of cool stuff

Step 2: Thank everyone for coming then proceed to go into labor.

Maybe it wasn't exactly that simple, but Brooke's shower ended around 4:00 and she started labor at 5:00. That's the way to do it! Great timing, girl! Can't wait to meet Kinsey.

We're Building an Ark

Car crashes in the lawn, water main breaks....everything happens at night. I need a video camera with night mode.
We were quietly minding out business Sunday night when we heard frantic honking. A kind couple had stopped to alert us the only way they could that our yard was now a small river

Here's the source of the main break right at the top of our driveway. It would up flooding our garage, Dave's shop, the yard (duh), as well as several neighboring yards.

Our yard is ruined to say the least, but the good people of Madison County have grudgingly promised to repair everything....in a few MONTHS. No lie. :(

Ducks!

Bella has added ducks to her menagerie and brought them to church Sunday. Can't have heathen animals!

Kate was a little unsure about them, but soon decided that she would like some ducks of her own. The plan is to keep them in the sink ;)

Bocca della Verità

Better late than never! We missed La Bocca della Verita by 15 minutes. Not to be dissuaded, Csilla stuck her camera through the bars and got a picture better than what we probably would have gotten in the crowd. Maybe I can Photoshop us sticking our hands in the mouth! :)

Access to the beach was blocked, but at least I got to see the Mediterranean. See the cruise ships?

Csilla should work for the marketing department here or at least start an IKEA tourism branch. You'd think we were beholding an ancient IKEA or a Holy Roman IKEA from the 15th century by the way she knew the ins and outs of it. Perfect for someone who has never visited this sacred place or any of its branches.
