Jeans, glorious jeans

Dave and I are a couple of denim lovers and if you've been around us at all you'll notice we wear jeans 90% of the time. Funerals and job interviews are a few of the only exceptions. :) Whether through nature or nurture it's a safe bet that Trudy will be a denim diva herself. Here she is sporting her first of many pairs of jeans.

Julie and Nate Come to Visit

Julie and Nate came over today to meet Miss T. Julie is the only person who sees any of me in Trudy and I love her for that! ;)

Let it Begin!

Today is our first day of cloth diapering. Trudy won't be wearing her skinny jeans with these, but I feel really good about putting cloth with covers on her bum instead of disposables. Wish us luck!

Wintzell's Oyster House

Oh how I have missed oysters on the half shell! Nearly a year without them was torture so Mom and Dad treated us to the new Wintzell's to put me out of my misery. They were yummy delicious!

She slept the whole time. Yay!

Wednesday Night Fun

It was so nice to get out of the house and see other people! I haven't been to church on a Sunday in at least a month and a half (hopefully will break that trend this week) so Wednesday nights have been a huge blessing.

Trudy got to properly greet her public and I got some pictures with a few of her minions. ;)

Seeing Pat and Brian again was a special treat. Ava and Eli are so friendly and polite and Bryson is about the cutest thing ever. He's seen here trying to climb his mommy's arms to get to that cupcake. Should have taken video because it was too funny.

Mom Mom and Pop Pop Come for a Visit

Dave's parents stopped in on their way home from up North to see their newest grandchild. Number 14 for them!

It was Mom's birthday so we had some cupcakes and went out to eat.

It was so nice to get out of the house and enjoy a meal that I didn't have to practically inhale for lack of time. Mom took over when Trudy got fussy. Thanks ya'll!

White Trash Princess

Somebody LOATHES being undressed or drafty event though we keep the house at 78 degrees in the summer. Her first "bath" was a disaster so we decided to experiment by taking things out in the 95 degree heat. Success! Warm water and a hot breeze under the carport...all she needed was some jets to have a true hot tub experience.

First trip out. We went to Kroger for some milk and cereal. She pretty much just sleeps in the car seat. Hope that continues!

Trudy's First Day

And what a day it was! I'll spare everyone the gory details. Trudy made the most of it by arriving shortly after 1:00 am so that Wednesday, August 4th could be enjoyed in its entirety. All 23 hours of it. *yawn* What was I saying? Oh yeah.
Here's her first picture taken by her daddy when she was about 10 minutes old. She was very alert. It's silly, but we're both kind of jazzed that she has hair since I was bald and Dave didn't have a lot.
