Cow Killin'

The Pulaski's literally killed the fatted calf a few weeks ago and had a shindig at their home at which much beef was ingested. Check out the size of this T-bone! Thanks again, guys. We had lots of fun.Here's the cow's replacement. Brown Sugar actually has a name so she is safe from being eaten-by the Pulaskis at least.

She kept sloooowly backing up while Bella was petting her.

The reason became clear a moment later! Time to go potty. Yep, Jess took a picture. I would have too if I wasn't busy backing up myself!

Peaches was being so funny. He chilled out here for the longest before scarfing down some leftovers someone left on the deck rail.

Regular everyday normal post

This weekend, I made it a point to take pictures of some everyday things. So often scrapbooks/blogs are filled with events or travel destinations so I'm going to make it a point in the future to record the more mundane ('cuz if I don't, there will be nothing to blog about! Ha!) Brace yourself for the excitement! ;)



Jared and Jess came up for the weekend. Here we are playing Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture. It's great because you don't have to learn any educational information or use your brain beyond hey, what where those color-changing shirts we had as kids called.

Got a fabulous Jess cut so all the brassy old color is out of my hair. Since it only took two years to grow out maybe I'll color it again. NOT!

Brandon had a home game tonight that actually didn't get rained out! Imagine that!

I dont' know what's up with the north Alabama weather this spring. If we're not flooded out, we're freezing. Count Aran took full advantage of the blanket. He will vant to suck your blood later.

It's not a "Rustang" anymore!

Dad and Dave have been working hard on the final leg of Mustang restoration. It's almost ready for it's maiden voyage!Seats are in.

The windshield goes in Tuesday and it will be all set to drive!

Rodeo

Saturday night we came out to Athens to see Andrea compete in the Miss Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo pageant.

It was wet and muuuuud-y!

That blur is Andrea. I should have just taken video since there was no way a good picture was going to happenHere's Andee the next day with her Horsemanship award (the stirrups) and second runner-up trophy. Great job!

A Fowl Mother's Day

After church, we headed over to Mom and Dad's to see the new chick. It's the sole survivor of its group. As you can see, it has two mommies so they named her Heather (Google it, people) :) It amazes me that the hens don't fight over it. They both sat on the nest so they just both take care of the last surviving chick. Too funny.
Aran and Bella managed to catch Heather for a closer look, but they got pecked to death in the process.

Remember the Dixie Chicks? Bindi, Buffy, and Beth are all grown up and running in their own little pack.

Brandon wrangled Bindi who sat there and pouted. Wouldn't even eat out of Dad's hand. Spoiled rotten brat.

My little Louie is a teenager now and sticking close to Huey and Dewey.

As soon as we set him down, he streaked back to his brothers squealing the whole way.
Somebody even managed to catch Dewey who was none too thrilled as you can imagine.
