Girls luuurve their shoes. Well, the way they look anyway. Just not the way they feel after standing in them for hours.

The best man was a little confused as to whose baby Trudy was since Lexi had her just as much or more than I did. Thanks, girl!

Obviously I couldn't take any pictures during the ceremony, but it was beautiful, touching, God-honoring and went off without a hitch. I even teared up as Lydia came down the aisle. My favorite part had to be the recessional which was the Indiana Jones theme. :) So fun and fitting for Phil and Lydia.

Trudy slept for the entire thing

Micah was nice enough to hold and feed her during bridal party pictures.

The best man's mom (can't remember either of their names!) held Trudy for a while during the reception so I could eat. It was chilly in the room and I didn't have a blanket handy so she wrapped her in napkins. At least they matched her dress!

Wedding Prep

We spent mucho time on Thursday folding napkins into a cute little clovers and getting the reception area ready to go.

After dinner we headed to The Elephant Bar restaurant for dessert and fruity drinks.

Candy brought some sparklies for our faces because she's just fun like that.

And after folding so many napkins I couldn't resist going origami on Lydia's blanket once we got back to the hotel

Holy Toledo!

Trudy and I had a great flight to Detroit. The Huntsville airport gave Dave a special pass to accompany me through security, then she slept for the entire plane trip. Once we arrived in Detroit, Candy was there to help me at bag claim and Lexi and Lydia (surprise!) picked us all up for the drive to Toledo. Missy was nice enough to let me borrow her car seat and Lexi's mom let her drive her SUV so we could all fit.

Lexi is a great hostess even when she's not hosting in her home. I've never been to her house and not had a little gift, treats, or fresh flowers (or all three!) and she didn't let the fact that we were all staying in a hotel diminish her hospitality. She had little gift bags for all of us girls and stocked the kitchen with goodies.

Trudy was well-received to say the least and I can't thank Lexi, Candy, Amy, and Missy enough for all their assistance with her. It would have been impossible to travel so far and do so much with a newborn if it weren't for their help. Thanks ya'll!

Lexi brought her Wii to the hotel and we had a dance off. Fun times that didn't end until the wee hours of the morning.

Labor Day

We enjoyed food, fun, fellowship, free babysitting, and four-wheeling at the Pulaski's house.

1 Month Old

We're going to take a picture of Trudy each month in our rocking chair to show her growth over the course of a year. It's kind of hard when she's squirmy and can't sit by herself yet.

She's started smiling socially now, but we've yet to capture a picture. She was smiling for Dave off and on for a minute, but by the time I got the camera...so it goes.

Tapout

I was worried Trudy would outgrow her fight night outfit before we made it down to Sylacauga so she and Dave just pretended they were watching some MMA together. :)

The Chanel binky from Aunt Jess adds a feminine touch. ;)

Four Generations

Gee came home from rehab this week so we got to take a four generation photo.
