Happy Birthday, Jake!

Do boys get "sweet" 16's? Not technically, but Jake had a pretty sweet birthday party anyway. He's a licensed driver now and I'm sure that was the best gift of all.

Baby Yogurt - Win!

Trudy has taken quite a liking to the yogurt mom got for her. She likes it better than any baby foods we tried. Can't say that I blame her. I like yogurt better than squash too!

 What a face! She ate the whole container though so I know she enjoyed it.

Gigi picked us up for church so that Dave, Trudy, and I could all ride home together that night. I haven't been able to attend Wednesday night services in months because of her 8:00 bedtime (we live an hour away from church), but thanks to Daylight Savings time her bedtime wasn't until 9:00 this week. Going back to Standard time this fall is going to be a bear. Up an hour early!

Dress Up Sunday

A denim skirt is my definition of "dressing up." It's about as dressy as I get anymore unless there's a wedding or funeral. Dave and I are both content to just live in jeans. Since Trudy and I kind of matched today I wanted some pictures of us together. Naturally, she was in a bad mood. Oh well.

Check out the baby ring! This was Bella's when she was a baby and since we aren't responsible enough to keep from loosing it, I wanted to at least take a picture of the ring on Trudy's finger. 

Saturday Outdoors

Dave built a mini-greenhouse/cold frame with our old storm windows. I love repurposing!

Our first planting of sugar snaps peas are coming up, but the second batch that I planted two weeks later got washed out. Here in the South we have a long growing season, but February and March are generally so wet that it seems difficult to direct sow anything. Last year we lost a lot of seeds. Right now there is standing water in the whole yard including the garden so once again, there goes my early start. Next year I will probably start indoors and transplant almost everything even though it's more trouble.

Trudy enjoyed being outside with one of us for most of the day.

Girl's Day Out

Trudy and I enjoyed a girl's day out with Gigi.. Mom bought her some peach baby yogurt and it was a big hit. She's wearing the evidence for all to see.

This was a day of firsts for her! We went shopping and she sat in the cart for the first time instead of riding in her carrier.

Later that evening, we met the boys for dinner and Trudy used a high chair for the first time.

Another round, bartender. ;)

7 Months

It's time for another photo session in the rocking chair! Trudy is seven months old today.
