Trudy's First Disney Trip

It goes without saying that we had a great time at Disney World, but Trudy actually did much better than any of us expected. She loved the all the rides she was able to go on, wasn't afraid of the characters, and appreciated all the people-watching opportunities. I think she's still catching up on her sleep!

Of course having 4 adults to help wrangle and entertain her didn't hurt anything. We stayed at Boardwalk Villas and Trudy had just as much fun riding the ferries as anything. Well...maybe not anything because she got to meet Eeyore in person and that was pretty cool.

She wasn't too much for Donald. No accounting for taste!

Thanksgiving Recap

I hope everyone enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving with their families! We traveled to spend the holiday weekend with Hubs' family as we have for the past four years in a row.  His mom made a delicious spread that included a few of her signature desserts .

 

We also indulged in a few of our favorite traditions which include:

Going to the movies with my friend Jess on Thanksgiving Day (though we don't always dress like ketchup and mustard)

Black Friday shopping with Mom at Joann's Fabrics
Getting haircuts from Jess (Trudy got her first and behaved perfectly!)
Dave and Dad stopping by the weekend car show
Watching the Iron bowl
Watching a family movie together

This weekend has given us cause for so much thanks and we are looking forward to continuing the same traditions next year. Now to start a diet so I can indulge in Mom's Christmas cookies next month!

Thanksgiving at SCS

We brought our little turkey to the family lunch at SCS. It was fun to catch up with everyone and the food was great as usual!

The Rock Box

Trudy cries if we put her in sand or water so our solution was to put rocks in her sandbox. She'll play in it off and on for hours. Whatever works!
