Blame it on the lighting, shadows, and his slouch, but Dave looks kinda chubby in this picture. For anyone who knows Dave, that is too funny. I'll probably never have to worry about having a chubby hubby unless it's the Ben and Jerry's flavor. Guess he was a good investment. ;) Muah! Love you, babe.

2010 Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo

We headed over to Athens to see the rodeo and watch Andrea compete in the Miss Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo pageant. The weather was much more cooperative than last year!

3D Ultrasound/Girl's Day Out

Dad treated us girls to a 3D ultrasound experience and lunch on him. What a sweetie! This is why I married such an awesome guy. Dad set the bar for how a guy ought to be, and only Dave measured up. I digress, but with a little girl on the way I'm so happy she'll have a dad as great as mine and hopefully will pick a husband as wonderful as her Dad and Grandpa. Anyway...little early to be fretting over her choice of spouse, but this is me we're talking about so that's pretty normal.

Uber-cool equipment

Tracey was fabulous and spent nearly an hour trying to get some great face pics for us. It only took about 2 seconds to confirm that we are definitely, 100% having a girl. Yay! We don't have to exchange all that girly stuff.

Bella was fascinated and just a little weirded-out when baby kept opening her eyes. Can't blame her because that weirded me out too!

A Master Potter Mother's Day

David Engesath of Master Potter Ministries was with us this Mother's Day for the second time this year. He came up with all new material for this encore presentation and was a huge blessing.

All about the light within us...

The adult version of flannel-graph! I love it! Visual learning is not just for the Sunday school kids, people. You never outgrow it (or at least I haven't. Maybe ya'll have "arrived." Haha).

Cindy and Andrea made initial bags for all the ladies with blessings journals inside. Guess it's a no-brainer what the first blessing will be. Silly me didn't pose for a picture with Mom today, but here's her hands and goodies! :)

Dave bought me a Baby K'tan sling for my first official Mother's Day, so I brought it to church to get help figuring it out.

We did it! It's a....purse. And she's a little brown. I may have some explaining to do. ;)

Special thanks to the men and young people for organizing, cooking, and cleaning up our lunch. It made for a very relaxing Sunday.

It's just the expectant dad thing to do. Put the crib together! We found this little gem on Craigslist and my parents were nice enough to pick it up for us. I think it's going to go great with Trudy's Western nursery.

After church and nursing home we headed over to Mikato Japanese Hibachi for a family birthday celebration. This is a great place to take a group of 9 so that you don't have to sit with strangers. :)

My birthday wish was for everyone to use chopsticks. They obliged for the most part, though everyone but Katy needed the cheater kind rigged with rubber bands.

Bella got really serious about it and even used chopsticks for her drinking straw. Half the fun for all of us was just watching her take everything in. I tried to capture the look of wonderment on her face throughout the chef's performance, but she noticed the camera pointing her direction every time.

Aran's favorite trick of the evening. I don't know how many times his mom had to remind him not to try any of this at home.

Mom put out the word that there was a birthday at the table and this is what they brought out along with my own chopsticks to take home and a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday with a gong.

We had so much fun with the food, entertainment, and fellowship. Thanks to everyone for coming and to Mom and Dad for treating! I loved it.
