Though Townsend is 30 minutes from the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg hub, we much prefer to stay here for the scenery, tranquility, and proximity to Cades Cove
Eastern Hemlock. Dave was excited to see a tree common to New Jersey growing down South.
Wish I could have gotten a better picture of this mountainside tunnel. It was neat to drive through.
