Family Reunion

Dave hasn't been under the same roof as all of his sisters since our wedding seven years ago, so a family get-together was long overdue.

We got to meet Gabriel for the first time! He looks so much like Dave and Grandpa Mege both did as children that it's unreal. As soon as we get moved to...wherever and I have pictures unpacked I'm going scan old photos in so you can see the resemblance.
Ya know, I really should just kidnap him. He looks enough like Dave to pass for mine so nobody would ever suspect we stole him! Amie, you have five. How about sharing??Pop-pop with Luke and Gabe

In what universe are any of these things tasteful ? None, but put them together and viola! Instant fung shui. From the hunter green and mauve color scheme to the library of VHS tapes we had fun pretending it was 1991.

The girls all got to eat out together sans men and most of the kids. Yummy mini-desserts at Logan's!

What's this? Dave demonstrates yet another appropriate occasion for an SCS shirt? You may remember other appropriate occasions such as fishing, game night, Casey's bath day, turning 27, dinner with friends, introducing your wife to your hometown, skeet shooting, nature hike, moving day, turning 28, swimming at the lake, church fall festival, visiting your alma mater, voting, Brandon's birthday, father/son fellowship, and many, many more. This just goes to show the versatility of the SCS shirt. You don't even have to be employed with the company to showcase their haute couture! For family reunions, golfing, and other such classy activities, it's best to wear a collared SCS shirt rather than just a plain tee. For weddings, funerals, and Easter Sunday, there's an even dressier style seen here. It's best to use this one sparingly though as you wouldn't want to risk being over dressed.

May I just say, "THANK GOD FOR PHOTOSHOP!"

Jess and Jared's visit

Dave and Jared got the chance to try out a new golf course (and to buy overpriced hats once there since they both forgot to bring one).Jess and I got pedicures...

and went to the movies. Jess is practicing her "squee" for the release of New Moon. It's so fun to act like a 14 year old once in a while. Try it sometime.

More Wednesday Fun

Sandi decided that much chocolate was overwhelming even for her! She was kind enough to share with us on Wednesday night while Mom brought some other treats.Coke just tastes better out of a bottle!

As if that weren't enough, we grabbed some Starbucks ice cream (through the most bizarre Walmart experience we've ever had!) and stayed on the Pulaski's boat until the wee hours of the morning to watch the meteor shower. Unemployment is underrated for sure. ;)

There was a opossum hiding in the garbage can at the dock. Isn't he cute...in an ugly sort of way?

Horsin' Around

We had a long lesson today and got a full hour of riding in. Afterward, we staying to help hose down. Bella rode Lilly today and they looked so cute together since they are both pint-sized. Cuuuuteness!

Exciting Sunday

Isaac bought a Mustang, Aran caught an armadillo, and Dave and I got to ride 4-wheelers for the first time. Woo-hoo!Aran brought his captive to church for everyone to see (rare to see a live one!) before releasing it. We got our first box packed

Chewie wants to make sure we're taking her with us. Closing is set for the 31st and we are both looking forward to living in a neighborhood where we ARE the white trash. :)

Riding Lesson #3

We had our boots this time so you know they made us ride better!

We switched this week so Bella rode Abe and I rode Reed. Bella had great control with Abe and even got him to trot which was more than I could do the previous week!

Reed can be described as Tigger while Abe is more of an Eeyore so I had my hands full! Just clear your throat and he's ready to break into a lope. :)

After church we all headed over to Ditto Landing for a ride on the Pulaski's boat.

Couldn't resist snapping a pic of Andrew in shorts and flip-flops. This is quite possibly the first time I've ever seen him without boots on.
